About me

I am a true “native”, having lived in the Greater Portland area all of my life. I an an Assitant Professor of Business at the University of Maine in Augusta. I teach accounting, strategy, marketing, finance, and entrepreneurship. The sense of “giving back” when I work with someone who is trying to start a business is one of the best aspects of what I do.

I am married to a wonderful woman who makes me laugh and keeps me looking at the positive things in life! I have three children, and two grandchildren, three stepchildren and assorted spouses and significant others. I am fortunate that my children have all been able to find good jobs and stay here in Maine, and I hope that the same will hold true for my grandchildren.

I am a life long Democrat, and have had an interest in politics since attending college in the late 60′s and early 70′s.  Maine is one of the best places in the world, and that Portland is one of the best small cities you will find anywhere!.  We can make things even better for the future. I hope you agree and that I can count on your support as we work through these difficult economic times to build a better future for us, for our children, and for Maine’s future!
